Haiku URL Lengthener
🎋 Welcome to the Haiku URL Lengthener
What is this madness?
The opposite of a URL shortener! Instead of making your URLs shorter, we make them longer, more beautiful, and more poetic. Because why would you want bit.ly/xyz123 when you could have:
civet-labs.com/code-runs-in-night/green-text-on-terminal/saturday-vibes-flow
How it works:
- Enter any URL you want to beautify
- Choose "Read Mode" if you want the AI to actually read the page and generate a relevant haiku (or a wistful poem about broken links if it can't be read)
- Or leave it unchecked for a completely random haiku that has nothing to do with anything
- Click "Generate Haiku URL" and watch the magic happen
- Share your beautiful, poetic, unnecessarily long URL with the world
About Haiku:
Traditional haiku follows a 5-7-5 syllable pattern across three lines:
- Line 1: 5 syllables
- Line 2: 7 syllables
- Line 3: 5 syllables
Read Mode:
When enabled, our AI reads the actual content of your URL and generates a haiku about it. If the page is broken, password-protected, or otherwise unreadable, you'll get a beautifully wistful poem about the sadness of inaccessible content instead. Because even broken links deserve poetry.
Pure chaos. Pure poetry. Pure unnecessary URL lengthening. This is the way.
What is this?
The exact opposite of a URL shortener. We take your boring, practical URLs and transform them into beautiful, poetic, unnecessarily long haiku URLs. Because the internet needs more poetry and less efficiency.
Why?
Because in 2025, we’ve realized that shorter isn’t always better. What if your URLs could be art? What if every link you shared was a tiny poem? What if we could make the web more beautiful, one syllable at a time?
Read Mode vs Random Mode:
- Random Mode: Generates completely random haikus that have absolutely nothing to do with your URL. Pure chaos. Pure poetry.
- Read Mode: Our AI actually visits the page and reads the content to generate a relevant haiku. If the page is broken or unreachable, you get a beautifully melancholic poem about digital entropy instead.
Tech Stack:
- Pure JavaScript (terminal vibes only)
- Cloudflare Workers for haiku generation
- Cloudflare KV for URL storage
- localStorage for history tracking
- Claude AI for haiku generation (in Read Mode)
- 5-7-5 syllable pattern validation
- Maximum poetry, minimum practicality
